OUR OFFICE
The re-location to our present office practice of 3126 Yonge Street came about in the Fall of 2016 following much thought and planning. We truly enjoyed our 11 year residence just to the South at 3080 Yonge Street but believed circumstances and timing were such that a move to our new office suites was essential to enhance your dental health, provide you with better access to our services while continuing to provide our community members with quality, comprehensive dental care for the entire family.
Prior to our move to Lawrence Park in 2005, our longstanding patients will remember receiving their dental treatments in North York at the corner of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue in the North American Life Center, where we were located for almost 18 years.
Recently, we have been delighted to receive a number of very positive remarks from patients as they first enter our new office at 3126 Yonge Street. These bright, comfortable, spacious and technically innovative surrounds with state of the art dental equipment have provided our patients with a relaxed, warm and friendly environment providing a focus on preventive, family, cosmetic and implant dentistry. Our new location has also re-invigorated our staff. Everyone so enjoys arriving each day at our new office suites.
At our office, we are committed to making sure our facility is accessible for all of our patients, we offer extended office hours with evening and Saturday appointments available. In an emergency, you can count on us to provide prompt treatment, we will see you as soon as you can arrive.
We are conveniently located adjacent to the Lawrence Avenue subway station on Yonge Street in Lawrence Park with full wheelchair accessibility from Yonge Street side walk. We also have different parking options available, we provide complimentary parking directly adjacent to our office at the corner of Yonge and Lawrence (just ask Julie for details), there are street side meters outside of the office as well as Green P parking just up Yonge Street.
DR. ROBERT NEVIN
General Dentist Robert Nevin has practiced the full scope of dentistry for the past 30 years in Toronto having graduated from McGill Dental School in 1987. Dr. Nevin's university experience began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, followed by a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomical Sciences, both taken at McGill University in Montreal. Dentistry was his true passion and he shortly thereafter began his dental degree education.
Dr. Nevin was born on the west island of Montreal where he resided for close to twenty years, moving to Montreal for university. Upon the completion of his dental degree, he and Julie made a very difficult decision to leave family and friends behind in Montreal and moved to Toronto. Once arriving in Toronto, they have never looked back, embracing the culture, the people and atmosphere of this truly wonderful city.
Dr. Nevin received a general dental degree which, as with every graduating dentist, provided him with education and experience in all of the disciplines of dentistry to include Periodontics ("Gum" Health), Orthodontics (Straightening Teeth), Prosthodontics (Crown and Bridge), Oral Surgery (Dental Implants and Removal of Teeth), Endodontics (Root Canal), Paedodontics (Children Dental Care) and Geriatric Dentistry (Care for the Elderly).
Dr. Nevin has demonstrated a passion for learning from the very beginning of his dental career upon graduation from McGill University Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and simply cannot imagine doing anything else. In the past thirty years, Dr. Nevin has attended hundreds of hours of "hands-on" and lecture continuing dental education throughout Canada and the United States. From local study clubs to numerous Provincial and State approved venues, Dr. Nevin has acquired dental education and skills which has helped thousands of his patients with their dental health and appearance.
By virtue of Dr. Nevin's professional training and commitment to continuing dental education all of Dr. Nevin's proposed dental treatments are up to date and evidence based; this means all treatments have scientifically demonstrated to most likely result in a successful outcome.
Dr. Nevin believes your dental health and achieving the very best result for each patient is paramount and to that end he always clearly and concisely explains the dental findings to each patient, involves every patient in their treatment decisions and in partnership, remedies each patients concerns to address individual needs. When necessary, Dr. Nevin liberally refers those patients who deserve specialty care.
Successful outcomes mean having a healthy and pleasing smile allowing you to project an image of increased self-confidence and a feeling of greater personal esteem. This translates to a better quality of life, enhanced overall health and improved lifestyle.
